ROLLINS COLLEGE MEETS CAZARES HIGH SCHOOL

December 2007 a group of 37 volunteers from Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida, USA, made their way to the Galapagos Islands.  Les Lloyd, a Professor at Rollins College, was making his fifth group trip abroad sending donations, setting up websites and teaching English.  Miguel Angel Cazares High School received 14 Dell computers, laptops, printers, games, were hooked-up to internet, digital cameras, video cameras and more.  The best part of the experience was the interaction between the students from Rollins and the students from the Galapagos.  Rollins students taught English and computers to the high school students during their stay.  At the beginning the two groups walked separately, but by the end of Rollins' stay they had immersed themselves into the school and made a connection.
